Orphanarium Raiding Policy

The Orphanarium raids three days a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 5:30-10:00 PM server time.

Raid destinations are not announced prior to raid. Interested raiders are required to be prepared to raid and in Shattrath by 5:30 PM. This entails all raiders to have enough consumables (flasks, potions, oils, elixirs and food) to last the duration of the raid.

Once a raid destination is announced, each raider is expected to immediately head towards the instance (summoning 25 people can be rather time consuming, and we’d be better off spending that time on progression). Once the destination of the raid is determined and the group is formed, everyone is required to join the correct instance channel on the guild’s Ventrilo server.

If you do not receive an invitation to raid, but will be available through the raid’s duration, you can message an officer and request to be placed on the Standby List. If you plan to log onto an alt whilst on standby, be sure to inform an officer.

You are required to come as prepared as possible to raids. This requires all raiders to research boss fights, bring consumables, and of course have a good attitude. You are expected to consult the raid leader or your class leader before AFKing. The officers do recognize that rare emergencies may occur that require you to leave on short notice. In general, please be considerate of your fellow raiders. You have 24 other people counting on you.

Due to the limited quantity of Marks of Illidari in the guild bank, the officers have devised a system in which every raider who is eligible to purchase flasks will receive one mark in the mail per week. Players on the current list will receive a mark every Tuesday. If you would like to be added to the list, please contact an officer.

Guild Bank

The guild bank is in place to help people, but we’re not giving everything away. The system in place for the guild tabs is as follows:

Tab 1 (Free trade) – A place to deposit various unneeded items that may be useful to others.

Tab 2 (Can we build it?) – Spare herbs, foods or any miscellaneous materials that may be used in the creation of raid supplies may be deposited here.

Tab 3 (Yes, we can!) – The finished products of raiding supplies, including oils, elixirs and potions.

Tabs 4 & 5 (Ninja this Tab & TBA) – Tabs 4 and 5 are reserved for the collection of expensive items such as hearts of darkness, gems and enchanting materials. For security reasons, these tabs are locked.

All members are encouraged to make contributions to the guild bank and help out other members in the collection of raid materials. Only officers can withdraw items from tabs 4 and 5, although all items may be purchased for 50% of their current auction house price (with the exception of Hearts of Darkness; please see paragraph below). Buying and reselling items from the guild bank is strictly prohibited.

At our current raid progression, we ask all raiders who do not have their shadow resist set to begin farming the required primals, void crystals, and other necessary materials to craft the required shadow resist gear. When we arrive at Mother Shahraz, Hearts of Darkness will be supplied to raiders for crafting the necessary shadow resist gear.
